Interior of a one-room apartment in the north-west of Moscow. The apartment is of the Khrushchev type, has a small area. The main task was to preserve the existing layout as much as possible while having a large amount of free space (“air”). To do this, the plasterboard section of the wall with the doorway leading from the corridor to the living room was dismantled. Instead, there was a gap between the walls from floor to ceiling, which visually created the effect of a smoother flow of one room into another. The same solution was used for the partition between the kitchen and the hallway. Thus, the corridor became an area for combining several spaces.
The eclectic design style combines classic white/beige shades with bright colors, strict clean lines with smooth rounded and unusual shapes. Track lamps in combination with attached spotlights were chosen as lighting..
